Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and calculate the quantity of materials needed.
Prepare and clean surfaces prior to tile installation, ensuring they are level and free of debris.
Cut tiles to size using hand or power tools, ensuring precise measurements and clean edges.
Apply adhesive or mortar to surfaces and lay tiles in a pattern, taking care to align them properly.
Use tools such as hammers, levels, and trowels to ensure tiles are properly set and aligned.
Grout and seal tiles to create a finished and waterproof surface.
Repair or replace damaged tiles as needed.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve skills and techniques.

Desired Candidate Profile

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a tile mason or in a similar role.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the construction industry.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to follow them.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
