Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Proficiency in CAD software: You have advanced skills in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and are able to create precise technical drawings.
- Knowledge of Joinery Techniques: Understanding of joinery and cabinetry construction methods, materials, and hardware.
- Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality work.
- Team-Oriented: You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with other professionals to bring design concepts to life.
- Problem-Solving Skills: You can think critically and address challenges with creative solutions.
- Time Management: You’re able to handle multiple tasks and projects at once while maintaining focus on deadlines.
- Fresh, Enthusiastic Attitude: Whether you’re a recent graduate or someone with a few years of experience, we want someone with a passion for design, a hunger to learn, and a proactive approach.
- Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
- Design and Drafting: Create detailed joinery drawings and technical specifications using CAD software. You’ll be responsible for ensuring designs are precise, accurate, and ready for production.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, interior designers, and production teams to understand design concepts and transform them into clear, workable plans.
- Material and Hardware Selection: Assist in specifying materials, finishes, and hardware that align with design goals and project budgets.
- Quality Control: Ensure all drawings meet company standards and client requirements. Attention to detail is critical to ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Project Coordination: Work with project managers and production teams to make sure that the designs are implemented smoothly, adhering to timelines and project specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Address any design challenges or issues that arise during the design and production stages, providing effective solutions to ensure projects stay on track
Desired Candidate Profile
- Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in joinery design/drafting (experience in the interior design or construction industry is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of CAD software, especially AutoCAD or similar.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and fabrication processes is a bonus.
