Welding Engineer

>Develop and implement welding procedures and techniques to ensure quality and efficiency in the welding process.

>Collaborate with design engineers to determine welding requirements for specific projects.

>Provide technical guidance and support to welders and welding operators.

>Analyze and troubleshoot welding defects and implement corrective actions.

>Stay updated on new welding technologies and techniques to improve productivity and quality.

>Prepare welding documentation, including procedure specifications and welder qualification records.

>Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure availability of welding materials and equipment.

>Train and mentor welders and welding operators on best practices and safety procedures.

>Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of welding processes with overall project requirements.

>Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with welding codes and standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

>Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or a related field.

>Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is preferred.

>Minimum of 15 years of experience in welding engineering or a similar role.

>Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.

>Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards, such as AWS D1 and ASME Section IX.

>Proficiency in welding software and CAD software.

>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

>Physical ability to perform welding tasks and work in various environments.
