How do rich writers do it?
Do they sign a Faustian pact to earn millions while other writers struggle to earn a living ?Here’s what I found out.
1. Don’t worry about rejection
JK Rowling is worth over a billion.
12 different publishers rejected the first Harry Potter book, which she wrote in local coffee shops while broke and in the middle of a painful divorce.
Eventually, a publisher took a chance on her and bought the series for £1.3m.
Even crypto doesn’t produce those returns.
Now, almost anything JK Rowling scribbles on sells (except her X posts and anti-trans rants).
One of her more recent books, a 31-page title measuring 1.6 x 2.4 inches, sold for over $180,000 at an auction.
