We Are Hiring Pumps and Valves Technician For Abu Dhabi.

The Egypt Emirates Company Urgently Requires A Full Time Staff To Work In United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) In Abu Dhabi.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Overview

We are currently recruiting for a new role, based at our office in Jebel Ali Free Zone. The role will have below main responsibilities:

- First Responder for Pump / Valve fault finding & Potential Claim inspection

- Site Installation & Commissioning Supervision

- Pump assembly & package Technician

- Valve Test Facility supervisor

As per above, the requirements for each function noted below:

1. First Responder – Value added site visits & inspections

· Based on requirements (Customer requirement / Sales request), attend site visits, initial site inspections.

· Site fault report, initial inspection & fault finding

· Prepare site inspection report and preliminary findings

· Update location of pumps / pumping stations / valve installations

· Create handover documentation for local pumps and booster sets

· Obtain Practical Completion Certification and Final Completion Certification

· Liaise with Operations & Sales for future requirements

2. Site Installation & Commissioning Supervision

· Site inspection during Installation period, check installation points as per KSB guidelines, approval of installation phases

· Guide Contractors for correct installation procedures

· Pump Alignment during Installation, final alignment as per approved procedures

· Commissioning supervision during final phase, approval of Installation and procedures, assistance during final commissioning, commissioning and start-up reporting

3. Pump Assembly & Packaging Technician

· Value added inhouse service. Based on specific requirements, assembly and mounting of smaller pump units & booster pump sets

(completion of pump set, i.e. pump + motor + baseplate + coupling).

· Alignment of pumps and motors on base frame

· Assembly of booster pump sets and control panels

· Preparation of requirements list based on Sales requirement

· Sourcing required equipment from local suppliers (with procurement)

· Painting of pumps, motor sets, boosters and valves

· Budget estimates for local works

· Create documentation for local made panels and booster sets

· Create hand over documentation for local pumps and systems

· Create reports

· Review of costing sheets, budgets and cost saving measures

· Liaise with Operations & Sales for future requirements

· Health & Safety representative for the area. Develop, implement and control all safety related aspects according to regulations.

4. Valve Test Facility Supervisor

· Supervise the valve testing facility when required and as per valve test schedule

· Review of Safety plan and activities, act as Health & Safety representative, responsible person for area

· Set up, manage and control all valve test activities

· Issue and approve Valve Test certificate when required

· Create documentation for Valve testing as required

· Manage, coordinate and control Valve Test facility requirements, resources and maintenance activities

· Health & Safety representative for area. Develop, implement and control all safety related aspects according to regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

1.1. Willingness to Travel (local and International), short trips, frequency of trips depending on requirements

1.2. Artisan (Mechanical Fitter or Electrical Fitter qualification)

1.3. Minimum 3 – 5 years Rotating Equipment Service / Maintenance experience, preferably in similar role, small to large Pump experience and start-up / commissioning procedures

1.4. Minimum 3 years of pump site experience with documentation writing

1.5. High level of physical fitness necessary as it would be a hands on job / workplace requirement

1.6. High level written and spoken English (report writing / customer intervention)

1.7. UAE driver’s license

1.8. Excellent working knowledge of pumps and valves in various applications; Water & Waste Water, API applications, Building Services (small pumps)

1.9. Working knowledge of pump control valves and trouble shooting

1.10. Advantage for being able to develop, implement and review procedures / processes

1.11. Health & Safety regulation knowledge an advantage.
