Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman to join our team for a prestigious construction project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have 10-15 years of experience in the plumbing trade, with a proven track record in supervising and coordinating plumbing installation and maintenance work. The Plumbing Foreman will be responsible for overseeing all plumbing activities on-site, ensuring the work meets quality standards, is completed on time, and complies with all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the plumbing team on-site, ensuring plumbing installations are carried out according to the approved plans and specifications.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, stormwater, and sanitary systems.
- Ensure that all plumbing work complies with local building codes, regulations, and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of plumbing installations and resolve any issues or delays.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of plumbing work.
- Review plumbing blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper installation and system integration.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior plumbers and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
- Maintain daily reports of plumbing activities, progress, and any issues or delays on-site.
- Ensure all materials and tools required for plumbing work are available and properly maintained.
- Promote and enforce safety practices and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications:
- 20+ years of experience in plumbing work, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.
- Proven experience in managing a team and coordinating work on large-scale construction projects.
- Familiarity with local Abu Dhabi plumbing codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid UAE driving license (preferable).
- Certification in plumbing or related field is an advantage.
