We Are Hiring Electrical Project Engineer
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute marine construction activities, including marine structures, sheet piling, shoring, and ground improvement tasks such as vibro-compaction, dewatering, and dredging.
- Lead construction and installation of quay walls, jetties, tubular piles, concrete pontoons, breakwaters, and related infrastructure.
- Design and manage dewatering systems, including deep well, well point, French drain, sump pumping, and beach stabilization techniques.
- Direct all operational phases, from project initiation to closure, including procurement, mobilization, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and demobilization.
- Lead contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, resolve disputes, and oversee vendor payments and project performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory authorities like Nakheel, DM, and Trakhees.
- Manage a team of site engineers, supervisors, and foremen, conducting weekly meetings to ensure project progress and safety standards.
- Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets for marine construction activities, including dewatering, compaction, piling, and dredging.
- Ensure adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations.
- Coordinate mobilization and maintenance of specialized marine equipment such as dredgers, barges, cranes, and associated teams.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve complex construction challenges, enhancing team knowledge and capabilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including daily reports, timesheets, incident logs, and equipment maintenance records.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to streamline material acquisition and liaise with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Support the accounts team in processing payments and managing weekly budgets for materials.
- Contribute to design planning and offer expertise for marine-related activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager in marine construction projects, especially in the UAE or similar regions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee a diverse workforce.
- Expertise in marine construction techniques such as vibro-compaction, piling, and dredging.
- Comprehensive understanding of local building codes, regulations, and best practices, particularly in Dubai.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields (professional certifications in project management are a plus).
- Certified by Dubai Municipality in Ports & Marine Construction Contracting.
